Intro To Mangroves

Mangroves are various kinds of trees up to medium height and shrubs that grow in saline coastal sediment habitats in the tropics and subtropics – mainly between latitudes 25° N and 25° S. Mangroves are tropical species which do not develop well where the average temperature is less than l90 C. High temperatures above 420 C are also thought to be limiting. Normally, temperature fluctuations greater than l00C are not tolerated well.
